About The Irish Landscape

The Irish Landscape is the blog of Irish landscape photographer Dave McManus.  Dave was born and bred in Dublin and currently live in Raheny, literally five minutes walk from the world renowned UNESCO nature reserve, North Bull Island.  As a child he quickly developed a love of nature and he considers himself very lucky to now have a career that keeps him constantly surrounded by its wonders and beauty.  Dave is primarily a landscape and wildlife photographer but he has also done a lot of sports work and pet portraits.  His favourite subjects though are insects and his close up macro shots reveal a beauty about these animals that most people never get to see.  Nature and landscape photography go hand in hand and it is great that they do.  It makes for a wonderful work environment.  Dave is a member of the Royal Photographic Society.

This blog came into existence from his desire to catalogue the wonderful scenery and natural features that abound in the emerald isle, and every now and then there may very well be a post that brings Dave back to his favourite subject – insects.   If you would like to know more about Daves work, talk about his exhibitions, discuss all things landscapey or just have a chat then feel free to drop a line.
